Lessons learned from a pandemic
A societal crisis and a still ongoing incident: the covid-19-pandemic is a historically unique event. Researchers at KMC have received funding from AFA Försäkring for a project aimed to collect data and experiences on how the regional health care management has handled the pandemic and its effects on the health care system. Examining the experience from the viewpoints of disaster medicine, human factors and command and control can ensure that important lessons from handling a rare incident are documented. Project results can aid in development of working procedures and technical support for personnel in the regional health care management, and in educational efforts.
