Based on ethnographic studies of Emergo Train System, a table-top training system that is used in more than 38 countries, a digital disaster management training system, DigEmergo has been developed.
The project evaluated and documented the strengths of the analogue system, such as collaborative learning interaction between students, instructor customizability, and debriefing. Current research and development involves CBRNE interagency training, After Action Review and individual training sessions.
*CBRNE = chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosive substance
